Yay! I'm remembering to drink water.
I set the goal to lose 10 pounds during the month of January. Well it didn't happen, but I DID lose 7 pounds. So it made me kind of encouraged and I'm going to lose 6 pounds this month. February. So we'll see. I know I can do it if I just eat better, drink more water, and move more. I'm doing really good about eating more fruit and vegetables. But I still like candy. I passed up one of the huge, delicious cinnamon rolls that they make for the teachers in the cafeteria once a month and that made me so happy with myself that I went home and celebrated by eating 4 cookies! Yes, that's the way I work.

Joyce! You are awesome! Losing weight is HARD. But little things make a huge difference, just like you said. You can do it! :)
Mom - keep telling you to set behavior oriented goals not outcome oriented. Set goals to work on things you can control, i.e. snacking less, being more active, exercising three times a week, drinking more water. Have fun with them, make them achievalbe and measurable. The results will come. And "yuck, i'm fat"? that kind of negative self-speak is not helping anyone. Be proud of yourself for eating more fruits and veggies - that's awesome. If you have to make cookies, keep one and give the rest to friends and neighbors! Love you!

Aaron, have you ever thought of becoming a trainer?
By the way, Aaron, I changed the title of my post so that it sounded more positive.
